This is representing Sleep Inertia – the awakening and feeling as though there’s an anchor tied to the limbs. It also represents the brain fog that can be attached to sleep inertia. The clocks are to indicate that it doesn’t really matter what time of day, or night, that it is – it hits when it hits.
IMHO – Something not generally recognized, is that sleep inertia can hit and linger from and/or during sleep attacks, not just being a symptom that occurs post awakening from a night’s sleep or from a nap…
